| News: Marsh's Liquors Wins Clipper Cup |
Congratulations to the entire Marsh's Liquors team for a well deserved championship victory in the 2009 Norwell Men's Softball League.
They played a stellar game of solid defense, excellent pitching performance which kept the Dirt Dogs off balance at key points, and timely power hitting.
The Old Derby Hospital Animals started off strong jumping ahead as they did last night 6-1 into the 5th inning, until the Monster Marsher's put up a mercy 5 spot in the 6th or 7th inning pulling a dead tie.
Falling behind 8-6 in the bottom of the 8th inning, the Dirt Dogs took a late lead 9-8 on a timely deep 3 run bomb by Dirt Dog clean up hitter Mike "BAMF" Kopfler in the top of the 9th.
A two out rally of singles loaded the bases in the bottom of 9th for the Marsh Men, before the dramatic walk off grand slam bomb was dealt to the beaten dawgs by the Ultimate Dog Trainer, Terry "the Dog Butler" Haskins. 
Many thanks to all who competed throughout the season. It was a great season, and a great time by all to meet and compete with guys throughout our great town.
